Alberto Biavati graduate in Chemistry in march 1979 at Parma University, Italy. From 1981 to 2016 he worked for Bormioli Rocco Group as Manager head of the Central Chemical Laboratory, from 2017 he works as Consultant in glass containers technology and pharmaceutical glass.
1986 – 2001 Member of a few CEN (European Standards Organisation) commettees.
1985 – 2008 Member of UNI (Italian Organisation for Standardisation) Glass Containers Commettee.
Author of about 25 publications in national and international glass reviews.
From 2016 teacher in Master of Packaging Specialisation School at Parma University.
In 2016 invited by the United States Pharmacopeia to become member of the Glass Expert Panel for the years 2016 - 2020.
Bianca Maria Scalet
Bianca Maria Scalet has full university degree in Industrial Chemistry. From November 1972 to February 2008, worked at Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro, the Italian Glass Research Centre as head head of chemical and environmental department. From September 2013 to June 2018, expert in sustainable production and environmental impact of industrial activities at Cabinet of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and Directorate General for Industrial Policy, Competitiveness, Small and Medium Enterprises; Cabinet of Secretary of State to the Prime Minister; Cabinet of Minister for Territorial Cohesion and South of Italy. Author of Best Available Techniques reference document for the Manufacture of Glass and BAT Conclusions (Commission Implementing Decision 2012/134/EU). Member of Italian Competent Body for Ecolabel (from 2014 to present).
